Kirjanpainajatuhot Keski-Euroopassa ja kasvava tuhoriski Suomessa -webinaari 13.5. klo 10–13

Keski-Euroopassa ja Ruotsissa kirjanpainajat ovat aiheuttaneet merkittäviä metsätuhoja ja vastaavanlaiset tuhot uhkaavat myös Suomen metsiä tulevaisuudessa. EU:n teknisen tuen ohjelmasta rahoitettu Preparedness for emerging forest pest risks in Finland (PREPARE) on IBF:n, Tapion ja Luonnonvarakeskuksen toteuttama hanke, jonka tavoitteena on luoda varautumissuunnitelma kirjanpainajan aiheuttamille metsätuhoille Suomessa. Hanke toteutetaan komission rakenneuudistusten tuen pääosasto DG REFORMin kanssa yhteistyössä.

Tervetuloa kuulemaan kirjanpainajatuhoista ja niiden hoidosta, sekä saaduista opeista Keski-Euroopassa.  Perjantaina 13.5. klo 10–13 järjestettävä webinaari pohjustaa PREPARE-hankkeen sidosryhmätyöskentelyn alkua. Tapahtumaan ovat tervetulleita metsäalan toimijat, tutkijat, metsänomistajat ja muut aiheesta kiinnostuneet.

Webinaari järjestetään Teams-tapahtumana. Webinaarin kieli on englanti. Ilmoittaudu mukaan alla olevasta linkistä viimeistään 10.5. Webinaarin ohjelmaan voit tutustua tästä.

European spruce bark beetle calamities in Central Europe and the threatening risk for Finland – webinar May 13th, 2022

In Central Europe and Sweden, the European spruce bark beetle (SBB) has caused significant forest damages. SBB poses a threat also to Finnish forests in the future. The Preparedness for emerging forest pest risks in Finland (PREPARE) project is funded by the European Union via the Technical Support Instrument and implemented by IBF, Tapio and Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Structural Reform Support of the European Commission (DG REFORM). The project goal is to create a contingency plan for the SBB in Finland.

The webinar provides information on the SBB damages, measures taken and lessons learned in Slovenia and Austria, and paves the way for the project’s stakeholder collaboration.
